Many photographers like the summer months as the bright natural light and good weather mean they can capture terrific images without getting wet and cold. Now that the nights have started drawing in and the weather cools, Stealth Gear, the outdoor photography clothing experts recommend their Extreme Photographer’s Suit as perfect attire for a colder and wetter autumn day.
The Stealth Gear Extreme Photographers suit comes in four main parts – a jacket, detachable fleece, trousers and photo vest. The suit also includes accessories such as an extreme all-weather hood, an extra long hood and an anti midge face net. This modular system gives photographers the flexibility to mix and match their clothing depending on the weather conditions and the environment in which they are working.
Craig Derbyshire, managing director of Stealth Gear who specialise in photographers suits, said, “The Stealth Gear Extreme Photographers Suit is the perfect outdoor clothing for amateur and professional photographers. This suit is packed full of features designed to aid photographers in carrying and operating their photography equipment in extreme environments and in all weather conditions.”
The jacket features several pockets including two expandable padded lens pockets. It also includes a detachable wired peak hood, a detachable light shade hood and an insect repellent mesh face net. The fleece is ideal for outdoor photographers that want to be able to use the fleece as internal layer with the Stealth Gear Extreme Photographers Jacket during winter months and use the fleece separately during warmer months.
The drawback of standard fleece materials is they are not windproof or waterproof. Fleece was originally developed as the insulation layer beneath an outer protective layer but with the Extreme Fleece the fleece outer is combined with a lining that has a membrane bonded onto it to make it wind water resistant, whilst still being breathable.
The trousers are particularly essential for bad weather conditions. The outer shell is 100% polyester microsuede and treated with dupont teflon in order to repel dirt, water and unwanted stains. They also feature many useful pockets including two large lens pockets on the side and two large rear pockets.
Mr Derbyshire, from Stealth Gear who specialise in wildlife photography clothing, added, “As the autumn and winter approaches it is essential that amateur and professional photographers alike have the correct clothing to ensure they are protected from whatever the elements might throw at them. Our Extreme Photographers Suit has been designed by photographers for photographers and so it offers all the functionality, comfort and protection that any outdoor photographer needs.”
